How long have you been natural?
I have been natural for 9.5 years.
What made you grow natural?
I wondered what type of hair God gave me and came to the conclusion that I should not hide what God gave me. It angered some people, but my thought was who cares, and I wanted to know what my actual hair was like. I got my first perm at a very young age.
Since you were natural when you ran across The Knotty Truth, how did TKT help you?
The Knotty Truth helped me tremendously and educated me in lieu of my beautiful, black hair, for I had no type of structured guidance to go by and was an excellent resource in reference to products and the detriment of ingredients that was taking the life of my hair.
What do you love about being natural?
I love the versatility, and the ability to play in the rain instead of seeking shelter to hide from the rain. Also, I can style according to my preference such as rocking Afro Puffs one day or two stranded twists the next day.
Do you see yourself staying natural?
Absolutely, without a doubt!
What is your natural goal?
My natural goal is to Loc my hair!
