How long have you been natural?
Since around 2004, had my last perm Sept 2003, thankfully I was not raised in 'a natural afro hair is evil' culture in the UK so changing from perm to natural hair did not require a mental revolution
What made you grow natural?
I was fed up of perming my hair then doing nothing with it, I decided if I was not going to do fancy styles then grow out the perm. I was a youth of the 1980's so had those short geometric permed hairstyles for a while
Since you were natural when you ran across The Knotty Truth, how did TKT help you?
The Knotty Truth added to the knowledge I already had, I would recommend it especially for people who are complete novices to locking and natural hair care, its a good general know how book for locked hair.
What do you love about being natural?
No more chemical tortures!
Do you see yourself staying natural?
Definitely
What is your natural goal?
To keep myself healthy internally as well as on my scalp.
What nugget of advice would you like to share with other naturals that you learned from The Knotty Truth?
Looking after natural afro hair is not as hard as some people believe.
